Presidents' Day Garbage Collection

(February 17, 2017) - Residential garbage collection in the City will NOT be affected by the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday, February 20th. Place your trash at the curb according to your normal schedule.

Green Youngstown has Moved

(January 18, 2017) - Green Youngstown is now located within Community Planning and Economic Development, at 20 W. Federal Place, Suite 602.

Company Announces Plans for $20 Million Beverage and Technology Complex

(October 16, 2016) - Joseph Company International has announced the company’s plans to invest $20 million to build a beverage and technology complex in Youngtown, Ohio that will produce the world’s first and only self-chilling beverage can. The project is estimated to create 257 new jobs for the city as well as provide a destination of interest, as the technology will be showcased globally. Complete Press Release

Mayor's Weekly Spotlight

Black History Month Program

Mt. Hope Veterans Memorial Park Inc. is sponsoring a Black History Month event, including vendors, displays, and guest speaker, Dr. William Blake, on Saturday, February 25th, from 11AM to 3PM, at Reed's Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1939 Jacobs Rd, in Youngstown. Mt. Hope members maintain the previously abandoned Mt. Hope Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Located at the intersection of Wardle Ave. and Liberty Rd. on Youngstown's East Side, the cemetery is the final resting place for a multitude of local veterans whose service stretches back to the Civil War.
