The Division of Public Buildings and Grounds is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and capital improvement of those buildings and properties owned by the City of Youngstown, which are under the jurisdiction of the City Board of Control.
Sean T. McKinney was appointed as the Commissioner of Buildings and Grounds on September 5, 2006. In accordance with the City Charter, “The Commissioner of Public Buildings acts as custodian of the City Building, the Central Police Station, and such other public buildings as may be hereafter acquired by the City”. He is also authorized to make such rules and regulations as required for operation of such buildings, with the approval of the Mayor.
